We can use either natural or composite woods.
Here we share a small sampling of our deck projects.
Let us help extend your home to the outdoors with a great deck that invites you to enjoy the weather outside.
Handy Home fabricated and installed a stained redwood, custom arched pergola. Outside post size are 12' x 12' with skirting at 36", Every piece is routed with 1/4" round-over detail, and stained with Behr Premium Deck stain - Redwood color.
This custom pergola came out better than excepted and the arched top gives it great character!
This is a balcony deck that we replaced in Cambria. The old deck was redwood and it was replaced with grey composite decking and white vinyl railings. Everything was trimmed with custom composite trim with routed edges.
This project proved very challenging in the design because we had to accommodate a flat rooftop under the deck and virtual zero threshold height to the door.
Water drainage was carefully taken into consideration and the end result was this beautiful composite deck overlooking the coast.
This deck was a large project! This project started off with excavation of 12" of sand/soil in preparation for deck and spa footings. The footings were pored 24" deep and a concrete pad was laid to hold the weight of the spa. The framing, pergola and hand rails were done in redwood while the deck was a two toned Trex. The hand rails have solar post caps that light up around the spa with just the right amount of light. This is a truly relaxing area to soak in a tub.
This Pergola was built with heart redwood, flat slatted roof style, and corbeled ends. The posts are large 6x6 which really gave this pergola the tough bone structure it needed.
The corner braces were custom made for this customer, and turned out wonderful. The customer also wanted LED lighting around the edge of the pergola as well as center lights.
We called in Eric from Poor Boy Electrical to help give this big piece the finishing touches it needed.
Approximately 1000 sq. ft. was added to this customer's side yard. Before the deck was installed, the yard had a large slope that was nearly unusable space. Handy Home leveled out the ground to add in the composite wood deck with privacy fence to surround it. The fence was redwood boards and left as is to let them "age" in the sun for a more rustic look in the upcoming years. The customer had Handy Home install wiring for a future hot tub to be placed on the deck.
